TIP! Visiting web sites with your class? Why not save pages for offline viewing? Offline viewing enables you to control content and monitor student surfing. No network connection needed, no plans ruined when you can't get out to the internet. Just open your web folder and go! 1. Create web folder on your desktop. 2. Save all pages you wish to use for your lesson in that folder, including links within the pages you need. Simply use the "Save As" command and direct your files to the web folder on the desktop. Be sure you save as "web page complete!" * Your network administrator can help you place a web folder on the network to use for access in a lab setting... 3. Select your start page and create a shortcut to that page by right clicking on the page link within the folder. 4. Select Create Shortcut ( it will appear near the bottom of your web folder) 5. Drag to desktop, or copy and paste to desktop, student work folder, etc
